What is a Southern Living Inspired Community & Inspired Home?
New Old is so excited to announce that we are currently building Charlotte’s first ever Southern Living Inspired Home! As you might imagine, building a Southern Living home has been a long held dream for us since Troy and I first toured a Southern Living home in Beaufort, SC almost 20 years ago! We were just beginning our building careers at the time and were blown away by the craftsmanship and level of design of the home. As we’ve advanced in our field, we’ve set some pretty ambitious goals and have been so blessed to have accomplished many; I can say with certainty that becoming a Southern Living Custom Builder, creating and developing a Southern Living neighborhood, and now designing and building a Southern Living home is truly a dream come true!
Every month, Southern Living readers (like me!) race to their mailboxes, scroll their Social Media accounts and scour SouthernLiving.com for the latest home and design trends, mouthwatering recipes and must-have beauty tips. These fans seek the "Southern Living" way of life day in and day out! Each year the editors of Southern Living curate their list of the best of the best neighborhoods in the Southern Living Inspired Communities. These hand-picked communities are the epitome of life in the South, neighborhood charm and the "magazine" way to live, and when they chose Bramble to be Charlotte’s first ever Southern Living Inspired Community, we were over the moon excited! And if our community wasn’t excitement enough, we were asked to design and build a Southern Living Inspired Home. An Inspired Home is a home that is featured within a Southern Living Inspired Community but allows guests to walk into the pages of Southern Living by touring the home! We have teamed up with an amazingly talented Southern Living Designer, Vicky Serany and her firm Southern Studio, from Raleigh, NC to design and furnish our home! Like all Southern Living homes, our home will pull from all depths of the magazine while showcasing natural elements to our beloved Carolina. Follow along with us as we continue this journey and team up with so many talented artisans and companies throughout the Carolinas and beyond!
And definitely mark your calendars for the tour dates! Our “Born & Bred in the Carolinas” Southern Living Inspired Home will be opening our doors for tours beginning in June 2019.
